"Do you know where I got my name?"

"Yes," said Piper, but Wanderer continued as if he hadn't.

"When I was born," he said, "Far-Seer saw me wandering."

"'Farther and farther,'" Piper quoted, "'until the Citadel disappears into the distance.'"

Wanderer rose to his feet. "I'm going," he said.

Piper had no good reply.
